Ted Williams, 84 gamesWhat is the minimum number of pitches needed to complete an inning?
Gonna get duped here I presume...3 pitches in the top half.. 3 piches in the bottom half.. That's 6 pitches. Unless it's the 9th and the home team leads. Then it'd be 3.Thinking of ways to get around this like batting-out-of-order... but a pitch still needs to be thrown. The answer is 6 (unless it's the 9th and home team leads)
Incorrect, my friend. In this situation, the runner is out and the batter remains at the plate. With 2 outs, yes, he is out. Less than 2 outs, runner is out and the batter remains.Got that one right on my yearly ump quiz!!
EXCEPTION: Batter is not out if any runner attempting to advance is put out, or if runner trying to score is called out for batters interference
The third one used to be a cardinal..............
