Craft Beer Talk

If Budweiser, Corona or Miller Lite is your beer, then this is NOT the place for you!

What are some of your favorite craft beers?

My newest find is by Kentucky Breakfast Stout by Founders (Michigan)... Best imperial stout I've ever had. Amazing. Only released once a year and April is that release. Very hard to find. I could only buy ONE BOTTLE at my local craft packy.. If you find it and like stouts, get it and ignore the price tag. It's worth every penny. Top notch!

11.2% ABV...  Aged in oak barrels for a year or so.

Another GREAT beer if you can find it is from Salt Lake, UT.. Right up Jrny's alley!!!

Cahoots Double Rye IPA by Unita's Brewery in Salt Lake. Oh Daddy! Powerful flavor on this one! I love IPA's and Double IPA's even more. This one kicks it and kicks it hard.

9.4 ABV and will put a smile on any lover of strong IPA's!

Cool thing about Clown Shoes... Each label is created by a different local artists. Excellent labels.

9 ABV.... Soild. I have it in a Bomber so 2 glasses will have me feeling fine.. unless Mama Bully wants a glass :(

Now doesn't a nice growler of Dead Guy Ale by Rouge Brewing (Oregon) sound delicious! It is, too. Outstanding beer. Different that what I normally like. A different taste.

Only 6.5 ABV so ya need a few ti get that fuzzy feeling, but very tasty!!

Bought this one last night and will drink Sunday while playing pool with my awesome father-in-law. Check out the 13.5 ABV... Should be a killer. It's a pitch black QUADRUPLE!! I'm guessing it will have a stoutness to it... Another one from the Crooked Line Series from Unita Brewery out in Jrny land (Salt Lake).. That brewery has some amazing beers.

Try 'Burning River' by Great Lakes Brewery.

It's a reference to the Cuyahoga..

Haven't seen it on the shelves here in Massachusetts, but the store I get all the crafts from just got permission from the town to double in size. I'll ask him about it and see if he can get some! I love all suggestions!!

Thanks Blitz!

My Wisconsin peers may know this one. While not a true craft beer, Leinie's does some craft brews.  This double bock(doppelbock) is a small run bock that is the finest I have had.  Great with a fine brandy to sip between bottles

This is my current fav of the dopplebocks.... The Troegenator! Out of Troegs Brewery in Scranton, PA.

This one goes down nice is 8.2 ABV so it does the trick!! I see it around quite a bit and I believe is pretty easy to find and the price is right. Check it out, kbur!!

Tonight. Can't wait. Had this one before and it's awesome. From San Diego, Ballast Point's Sea Monster. Big time Oatmeal Stout. Weighs in at 10 ABV if I remember correctly. Yeah, buddy.

Tell me this doesn't look delicious!!!

The friends I grew up with started making their own beer.  Several have gone off to bigger things such as the brew mister for Red Hook.  A couple others have landed jobs with Red Hook.

One has is own Washington Beer Blog and has be on the Kathy Lee Show.

I've been enjoying this "INVERSION IPA" by Deschutes Brewery I found on sale at Safeway.

Good Stuff
