Thanks guys..the map automatically updating was a nice surprise.  Maybe we should give the map its own locked thread and continue the chat in here?

I posted a similar map a couple of months ago and was really surprised when it kept updating itself.
For a few days I followed the storms California was finally getting from that thread...hahaha.
The drought turned me into more of  weather watcher, and I have the California regional NOAA website saved in my bookmarks.
That's how I know a strong ridge of high pressure will be building off the coast of central California, and an offshore flow will start to kick in.
It is supposed to get up to about 105 in the Central Valley on Wednesday.

Hell, it's supposed to be in the mid/high 80's in SF by Wednesday.
That's virtually unheard of for this time of year.
This is usually when the city starts to get socked in fog, although other parts of the Bay Area are quite warm.
It'll be in the mid 90's in other parts of the Bay Area.

Our storms are pretty much over for the year.

Not much goin' on today.

Tomorrow and Wednesday could be interesting, however.

Wait.  Your last name isn't Klinger, is it???

I came over here to post my new favorite 48 hour map for you, blitz.
This one is from a Sacramento-based channel, but you can zoom out or in to any part of the country and world.
To move it over to your neck of the woods, just zoom out until you see your general area, then double-click on that area.

Well, blinky, I don't know why, but as of this morning, they changed the map.
This new one isn't nearly as good. stomp1

You are wise, jedi...
Although you should be...seeing as you're a jedi, and all. :)

I finally found the same radar map somewhere else.
This time, it's out of a station in Seattle.
They better not change it, or I won't just be stompin' my feet...
The claws will come out.

Getting closer.  If we could shake this damn cold..

I remember well in 2012 there was a huge outbreak in RR's area right at the start of March.  Had I still been in Columbus I wiuld have been tempted to chase.  That was a super warm winter and the midwest had temps in the 80s by mid March when I got married.  These last couple cold years seem to have adjusted for it.
