UPDATE 2: Richard Petty Motorsports announced that three-time IndyCar Series Champion turned NASCAR winner, Sam Hornish, Jr. will join the storied organization to drive the #9 Ford in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series full-time in 2015. Hornish, Jr. joins RPM from Joe Gibbs Racing where he competed part-time in the NASCAR Nationwide Series this season scoring one win and four Top-Five finishes in only eight starts. Hornish, Jr. has competed in three full seasons in the Sprint Cup Series as well as two full seasons in the Nationwide Series for Penske Racing where he finished second in points in 2013 by a mere three markers. In 2014, Hornish, Jr. has made the most of his time behind the wheel while driving a partial Nationwide Series schedule at Joe Gibbs Racing with two poles and a win. He is now ready to rejoin the Sprint Cup Series with RPM. "This is a great opportunity to join Richard Petty Motorsports and the No. 9 Ford team in the Sprint Cup Series," said Hornish, Jr. "Owners Richard Petty, Andrew Murstein and Doug Bergeron have built this organization into a championship-contending team with world-class sponsors and partners. Many people have noticed to the progress being made here and I'm ready to build off this momentum. My goal is to put the #9 team in victory lane in 2015 and be a competitor in 'The Chase'." The #9 team will continue to be led by Crew Chief Drew Blickensderfer who has three Sprint Cup Series wins to his credit. Co-Owner Richard Petty is proud to welcome Hornish, Jr. to the team. "Sam is a really good fit for RPM and will be a great addition to the team," said Petty. "He's a family man who fits well with our core values and he will be a great ambassador for our partners. Sam's also proven that he can win races and compete for a championship. He came into the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series with a steep learning curve from open wheel racing, but has shown in the Nationwide Series that he is a winner. We feel that he can get the #9 team to Victory Lane and compete in 'The Chase' for us."(Richard Petty Motorsports)(10-8-2014) - Jayski

Looks like Cole Whitt is going to end up in the #34 next season.  Apparently David Ragan will remain with the team, too: https://twitter.com/anthonymarlowe/status/537450911539294208

Yeah I saw where Ragan already said he was staying at FRM, I guess Gilliland is the one up in the air if Whitt is going there.
I guess JGR will announce the Crew Chief changes after the awards banquet at some point.
may predictions are still the same I am still waiting to see how right or wrong I am. Here they are if you forgot:

#11 Hamlin / CC Dave Rogers
#18 Busch / CC Adam Stevens
#19 Edwards / CC Darian Grubb
#20 Kenseth / CC Jason Ratliff

Have a Happy Thanksgiving - and no Alley videos please, Thanks you, Spikes. :)

Since they stayed together and they didn't win one race last year they are doomed... LOL Spikes.

They did show improvement all season.  Also TRD was off speed this season.
While the new combos are getting used to each other Kenseth will be winning.

Looks like the Wallace-RFR deal was finally completed and announced, with Wallace driving the 6 for the entire season in the Xfinity Series, no mention of sponsorship though

Actually gives RFR a couple decent young drivers in that series, with Wallace and Chris Beuscher (sp?).  Beuscher really improved all season last year and was looking pretty good towards the end.

I agree, Both of these guys are probably already better than Bayne and Stenhouse, what a joke RFR will be at the cup level.
But they could make some noise in the NXS for sure. Wallace is a wheel man for sure. Spikes.

So with MWR and JGR sharing more info this year, will both teams benefit?
TRD needs to find more speed.

TRD needs to find more speed.

With the reduction of HP down to about 725 or 750 HP I believe the TRD engines will be competitive.
And with the spoiler trimmed down to over 2 inches that will play into the drivers that like loose race cars.
Like last years rule changes that favored drivers like Gordon and Jr. I believe this rule change will fall back into drivers like Kyle Busch, Carl Edwards and unfortunately Jimmie Johnson as the these guys can drive the heck out of loose race cars. Oh and I didn't mean to leave out Keselowski, he will thrive with this major rule change. Look for more competition yellows as these guys will stink up the field on the speedways... Watch and enjoy. I will, Spikes.

Not sure what happened to them.  5-7 years ago, RFR were the thorn in Hendrick's side and challenging at every track.  Now they are firmly planted into the Mid-Tier bunch hoping for top 15's.

Yeah won two races last year with Edwards, he is gone along with Fenning, They of course can win a restrictor plate race like anyone can really, Bayne won the 500 and FR Motorsports won Dega before and Danica has won a pole, that pretty much explains plate racing don't it. But RFR racing will struggle to be a top 15 through 20th place team for sure. You are so right. Spikes.

Jack thought he could still dictate to his sponsors how much that had to spend to be on his cars and never agreed to go multiple sponsors on a car.  It was all or nothing for him and he ended up with nothing.
