so i truly believe i'm not biest  about the draft, but then again at this point were the only ones who did well this year
PAGE NAMED NFLS MVP — In 1971 Alan Page became the first defensive player to be named the Most Valuable Player of the National Football League by the Associated Press. Page headed a Vikings defense that held opponents to fewer than 10 points a game.

OK, I like this pick also DT Jaleel Johnson at 6'4/310 and best fitted for 4-3 defense and is a disruptive force with non stop motor and combine that with extreme raw power which results in pushing back pocket, uses strength and arms to disengage blockers ( this is something Vikings "D" needs to work on). DT Johnson will help run defense and for sure add QB pressure !!!! grin1

Just read up on LB Gedeon( 50 games- 176 tackles- 21 for losses and had only 6.5 sacks, but that is ok, Coach will fix that ), who brings a old school style of LB, whose skills are sure tackler and has a nose for the ball and is a hard hitter, punishing type LB and another player with a great attitude and will energize locker room as well. I like these type of players for they will give all for a Viking Victory !!! greg1

This draft added a number of guys with great athletic ability that need to be coached to the next level......love the upside of some of these guys    they may not be full time starters buy have the potential to be if they learn from our coaches......the only guy I am interested to se how he progresses is the TE Hodge....he the skill set  of a TE slash WR and could turn out to be a really gem if we use him right

I think that the Vikings drafting Dalvin Cook is bad. Bad for Green Bay, bad for Chicago and bad for Detroit. I watched some of the highlight reels on Dalvin, how the hell we got this guy is nothing short of a miracle. I am all pumped up for this upcoming season. SKOL VIKES!!!

Yes they will.....should be some great competition......I have said it already but I am getting more and more excited about Bucky Hodges. I think him and Cook will be incredible for our offense...Hodges will take a while but look out.....

I will make one comment ......I love some of the answers some of these guys answer questions from the media....they seem sincere in wanting to be team guys....especially Cook.....Would I do like about our teams post Peterson is we now have players that can do many different things on both sides of the ball but on offense especially.....I visualize use going the way of the patriots ( this is a good thing) and really game planning for opponents weaknesses....we have the skill set now to throw the ball 70 percent of the time in a game or run 70 percent if needed. Give it a few weeks to develop but this could be the start of a very special well balanced team capable of winning in a number of different ways...have not had that in a long time

Hutch, I did a little research on  VT TE Hodges at 6'7/245 and 4.57 40 speed  saywha, along with skill set of top TE'S in 2017 draft. TE Hodges is not afraid to catch in the clutch as proven in upset win over  Ohio St.in 2015, while playing for VT, TE Hodges ran 1,112 pass routes, Yikes. Never played TE in HS, until red shirt freshman in 2104 at VT, where he earned a rating of 81.2 %  as best over all college TE ( 2nd highest score possible) and 85% the highest grade for receiving TE'S in college.  Size-Speed - Hands coordination impressive and to that I say move over Treadwell !!!! perfect10

That is impressive.......he said Randy Moss was his favorite player and now he gets to wear 84......too cool. I think he could be really, really good ......hope he learns quick and gets some solid playing time early on.   Really like this kid.

The Vikings have applied for Minnesota to host the NFL draft in either 2022 or 2023. That would be fantastic...

Though drafted in 7th round, DE Odenigbo at 6'3/258 can still apply and sack QB's, plus stop RB'S behind line of scrimmage as stat of 61 tackles, 26.5 for losses  and 23.5 sacks  saywha all in just 49 games while playing for Northwestern. Has ability to play OLB  hmm1.  Football Skills are top and a sure tackler, plus relentless throughout game. Makes DE/OLB Odenigbo perfect for Coach Zimmers "D" Go Vikings !!! grin1

As I was looking at  Viking current roster, I noticed QB West Lunt of Illinois 6'5/225  and along with that has a rocket for a arm and racked up 4902 passing yards, 32 TD'S, 12 INT'S in 27 games. I first I said cool, but stats do not tell whole story and QB Lunt has history of playing inconsistent and health issues ( staying on the field). Though tall, perfect for pocket passer will crumble under pressure and lacks speed to be a threat, Huh, my  conclusion "why " !!!! wagfing

Several draft picks were signed today, only second-round pick running back Dalvin Cook and seventh-round pick wide receiver Stacy Coley remain as the only two draft picks not to have signed...
