Wow, and we thought GM's recalls were bad, they are nothing compared to Tanaka's recalls. Last I heard, they weren't sure how many auto manufacturers it was going to effect, but it was going to total up to 33.8 million vehicles that have defective airbags from this Japanese manufacturer. The company has been getting sued at $14,000/DAY since February.
Apparently, the chemical agent they have in the powder sets the airbag off with too much force and it breaks the metal clip holding the airbag in, sending shrapnel flying through the passenger compartment!
