I checked xfxfxf and LT Long is still on roster, I think if Long can recover from injury, he would add depth at LT. Last year was not fair in trying to rate him, after being thrust in to quickly!!!  2c

As Draft  Day nears, I think Vikings have addressed or made a attempt to fix Tackle positions and with that being said. The Vikings should use  early picks on other team needs and why? Because Sirles, Kerin and Easton played a little bit last season and all showed glimpse of promise and should be better in 2017.!!!!  2c

After reading through  Guard  prospects in 2017 draft , it is truly loaded for Vikings to get skill players at that position and here is one player, though projected to go in 2nd or later. I feel he is perfect, G/T Taylor Moton at 6'5/330 out of Western Michigan, possesses elite power ( benched 400 LBS with ease and squatted 570, Yikes), now the skill is their and no question as to his run blocking and needs a little help in footwork to play both G/T spots and he would be a solid addition to Vikings , maybe even day one starter 2c !!!! greg1

As much as I want our guys to blow up Kali I am not looking forward to that game at all........The Panthers scored big in the draft so far...adding McCaffry ( my favorite of the draft) then getting C. Samuel ( my next fav lol) and that offense with Cam will IMO be incredible and very tough to stop....match up night mare.

This is the best pick Vikings made 2c and Viking C/G Elflein 6'3/302 is a proven road grader at both skill positions. Won Rimington Trophy for best Center and  Rimington Pace for best offensive lineman in Big Ten, Cool. The word is that Elflein is a day one starter and has great locker room attitude, that carries throughout o-line. Start him at RG and gradually roll to Center, Go Vikings !!!! greg1

Zimmer has already said the he will start at center. I assume Berger will be starting at RG. I think it was a great pick also, this guy will be a leader on the Vikings...

I know that LT/RT Clemmings was throw into action early, though as season wore on. I saw no improvement, especially with speedy and strong DE'S, My conclusion 'The Boot" !!!! yeahright

Vikings have signed LT/RT?LG Freddie Tagaloa 6'8/330, Yikes after min camp to a 3 year deal and waived  DL DJ Dubose. Has size, strength and ability to play, throughout o-line  and Tagaloa must have made a impression !!!!! greg1

The play of the following o-lineman in 2016, should make it a lot easier for Vikings staff to give Clemmings, Hill, Sheppard the boot. The way they where beat by DE'S speed and strength in games, at least to me means no amount of practice can elevate their game and to have them as depth is disaster waiting to happen, Geez. Hope our rookies and others signed, work out !!!!! 2c

Vikings offensive lineman T.J. Clemmings lined up at both tackle and guard on the right side of the line during OTAs. Trying Clemmings at guard, if successful, maybe what keeps him in purple...

Tushay, I  hope it is just a way to fire up competition , the only reason Vikings would keep LT/RT Clemmings on team is contract  ( 2017/ money due/ 750,000). PFF rates LT Clemmings at 24.8 and earned honor of worst tackle in 2016 , Yikes. Vikings can not fix o-line with a broken part, Go Vikings !!!!  grin1

As I read about how Vikings are moving Clemmings inside to RG, so his lack of quickness will be not so exposed. I think Vikings should look at film, where it continually shows Clemmings not only left standing with no one in front, but being bull rushed and pushed back (over powered ) and putting him inside next to NT, Yikes. Vikings are once again using that old belief " things will work itself out". Cut him !!!! >:(

As I looked at o-line Today, I noticed LT Reiff and his back up at present is LT Reid Fragel at 6'8/308 is a TE converted to LT by Ohio St. and did very well against strong pass rushers with the little experience he had and has attitude ( something Vikings really need) very quick to and able to reach tackles and LB's to block. At pass protection he attacks DE'S and takes out of play. Strong enough to move tackles and great lateral movement to  go with Quickness. I like this pick for Rookie LT Fragel shows Football smarts and ability to learn on the fly, with his aggressiveness comes a tendency to get fooled. I am sure that will be fixed by OL Coach Sparano  and having played TE will be a added nitch in play calling, Go Vikings !!!

This could be a really nice addition.....sometimes you pick your poison ......he can atleast redirect speed rushers and give Bradford that extra sec which would be huge to get the ball out......need more athletic guys at that positions .....hope it works out

Dang it Hutch, I was going over stats on players and noticed I erred on LT Fragel, who was originally drafted back in 2013 by Bengals ( I thought he was a rookie, not FA)and released. The bright side though at least he is not a rookie and with what little experience he has, it may help us and Dang it again !!!  rainin'

The Viking o-line will be better then expected and why? First their is 3 returning starters in RG/Berger, LG/Boone and even C/Easton has earned the right to start. The additions of LT/Reiff, RT/Remmers  and the fact they have experience in said skill position helps this o-line right off the bat. It is not like you are starting  Rookies, that must adapt to NFL Level. !!!! grin1
