LUNDI GRAS in New Orleans
« on: February 12, 2018, 04:55:13 PM »
Happy Lundi Gras, all my northern bros.
Weather is mild with no rain, should be a GREAT day for all the "who dats" and tourists tomorrow...this day is usually more fun for most old time locals. The Tchoupitulis Indians, who historically were escaped slaves taken in by the local indian tribes, parade today in their extravagant beaded costumes that took most of them all year to make. It's a sight and spectacle to behold if you have never seen before.
I have lived here my whole, long life so Mardi Gras doesn't excite me as it once did, but it does remind of how SPECIAL this city really is and makes me proud to call it HOME.
