One of my muskies I caught back in August. The bait is 9" long. I landed him and released. I figured him around the 40"+ and around 20 - 25lbs.

Great pics, Bond.  I've gotta go through my own Smallie pics from this summer and post a couple.

Same thing will happen on Friday. She will be wedding dress shopping while I'm fishing.

Speaking of fishing, I went to the river and pulled out 4 stupid trout. Terrible fishing as I missed more than caught, lost five spinners, and about froze to death after leaving the water.

In four ice fishing trips the last two weeks, I have pulled out 65 fish in 14 hours of fishing. Not great, but not bad.

63 were rainbows, the other two were sunfish. One bluegill and one pumpkinseed.

Last night I ripped out 29 fish. 16 bluegills all about half to a full pound, 4 rainbows, and 9 yellow perch. All of which are now in the freezer.

Depends on the fish. The sunfish and perch are all filleted. Depending on the size of trout decides their fate. My rainbows on the last trip were big enough to fillet, but the knife was garbage, so I destroy the fillets while cutting them up.

The group caught 43 on Saturday and I pulled out 22 of them. I also let others pull in about ten of the ones that I hooked, so there is the last trip.

Just finished my vacation at my cabin on the Menominee River bordering Wisc & Mich.

The river has world class smallmouth fishing.  Monday we caught 72 in 4 hours.  yesterday I caught a 14" smallie & had it t-boned by what looked to be a 36"-40" Muskie.  Also caught a 27" catfish while in my kayak. ,That was fun.  It took me on a 300 yard trip down the river before I could make it to shore & land it.

I bet you'll have some good ones.  Ever since I saw that thing materialize from the depths I've been hankering to break out the Musky rod.

I could never put mine away. There's a guy I know in Eau Claire that makes custom St. Croix rods for $140.00! Any way you want em set up. Serial # , your name, and whatever color windings you want. Brazilian cork handle. They're sweet.

Why dont they make a hinged opening rod case? Like a gun case?

I need a tape measure etched onto my pole.  That way I'm not using a special mark on the pole as a reference point.

After I pulled out sixty fish in ninety minutes, my last four don't even have me at half that mark. Eighteen, eight, eight, six. The fish must be prepping for the turnover, which means the fishing sucks. However yesterday was pretty good. The six were caught on a pretty tough river to fish.
