Ever gone through the pains of checking the switch and relay. It's a real bitch to get under that dash, behind pedals and etc. it's awkward if you ain't used to it. To say the least.

The original Little Shop of Horrors is coming up.

I've seen it once before.  Pretty good.  I'll watch until I finish my beer or nod off, whichever comes first.

Snowing this morning. I'm done with living here I think. I love Chicago, but I don't think I can spend the rest of my life dealing with this.

I have friends in Atlanta. I'd move there. Really, any medium sized city near or south of the Mason-Dixon.

Funny, the reason I fly with United is because I usually have had far better customer service experiences with them than I have with almost any other airline.
The exception are the people who work at O'Hare.  That said, the one time I had a huge problem with some bitch at the desk there, I called United after the trip, and they tried very hard to make up for it.

Huh??? You mean they didn't tell you to go to united.com/( with any problem you have)?

In case anyone is curious as to why I'm bashing United Airlines, here is what happened...

When I got the tickets for my mom and I to fly to Orlando for my cousins funeral, I goofed really, really bad. My boss was trying to help me out and sent me a link from Kayak, with this really good deal of $228 a piece on a non-stop flight that left and came back at the exact times I was looking for. However, neither one of us noticed that the flight was actually set for departure on MAY 26th. Somehow I didn't notice that it said May, and neither did she. All I remember seeing was leaving on Monday and coming back on Wednesday.

That was on a Friday that I booked it, and when I got to work that Monday morning, my email confirmation was there, and that's when I saw the mistake we made.

So, I call them up, explain the problem, and of course I can't get it refunded because it's been over 24 hours. I have no problem with that, it was my fault anyway. So, she tells me she can get me a flight out that day day at about the same time, but the tickets are $412 each instead of $228. PLUS, there will be a $200 transfer fee per ticket. OUCH! So, this fuckup is gonna cost me a total of $768 more dollars. It is what it is, I fucked up and I gotta pay the price.

So, yesterday, my credit card statement arrives, and the original 2 tickets of $228 each are on there. No credit has been givin back yet. So, I call them up, wait 25 mins for a human to get on the other end, explain what is going on, and she tells me I have to online to thier site and file a claim for a refund. Not only that, but I would have to send 2 attachments when I fill out the claim. One being a copy of the confirmation, and the other being a copy of my credit card statement showing that those charges are on there.

REALLY??? I asked her, you mean to tell me when I had those canceled and paid $400 worth of transfer fees, that your system doesn't automatically credit me back on the originals??? Or someone doesn't go in there and do it??? I have to make a claim online??? WTF? And how come they didn't tell me that on the phone when I made the switch?

So, I also asked her, what if I didn't have a computer? I said, believe it or not there are people that either can't afford a computer, or a smart phone, or they are old and don't have any interest in owning one, or learning how to use one. She said they could go to a library or use a friends. Really???
I said, there is really no way for y'all to take care of this over the phone? She said no, it must be done online. So, I asked her what her job is. I said, are you just there to direct people to go to your website? I was livid, and continued before she answered and said, what else are you there for, to take out the trash?
I said I wanna talk to your supervisor, and waited 10 more minutes before hanging up because I had to leave.

I filed the claim this morning, so I'm real interested to see how long this refund is gonna take. The site said most CC refunds take a week after it's reviewed. But how long till it even gets reviewed???

F*** THEM!

Oh boy

That sucks Coach

That was bad week, to say the least.
I also forgot my laptop in one of the smoking lounges at Dulles airport.
I didn't realize it till we were already on the plane. They wouldn't let me off because we were about to take off (supposedly). And we still didn't take off for almost another 30 mins!!! F*** United!!!

So, I texted my brother, who was picking us up in Orlando, and told him to make some calls to Dulles and United and tell them where I left it. He texts me back about an hour later, after making a few calls, and said all he could do is leave a message on the Dulles lost and found machine.

Anyway, my brother being the smart one in the family, talked to a security guard at the United desk in Orlando when he got there. The security guy knew just who to call. He talks to someone over there at Dulles and they tell him that a laptop case was indeed found in a smoking lounge. He said more than likely that, at that point, the laptop was probably still in possestion of the police, because they were called in to check "an unattended bag". He said after it is cleared, it would probably go the the Dulles lost and found dept. and suggested that we leave another message ith a call back number. So I immediately called and gave the discription, my name & number, and sure enough, they called me back the next morning and let me know they had it. THANK YOU DULLES AIRPORT!

That was almost another 700 bucks out the window.
