Cali, age 8.

PNC Park reminds me a lot of AT&T Park.
I would consider them two of the best ball parks in the country.
Sure, there are the the old, great ones, the ones with deep history, but as far as new ones go, our two teams have the best, I think!

It is beautiful for sure.  Never been to the Bay Area, but "Pac Bell" would be on my list.  Maybe take a kayak out into McCovey Cove.

You know, I think that is the first time I've ever referred to it, either in writing or verbally, as AT&T, and it felt awkward.
I just wasn't sure how many people at this point, other than those in the area, know it was originally called PacBell.

And Memphis has the best AAA park in baseball. Located downtown and two blocks off Beale across from the Peabody hotel and Rendezvous.

I think most people view the park of their particular team differently than others.  It's difficult to be objective.

Although coming across the river from Kentucky entering the city has a nice scenic view. Reminds me of Pittsburgh a little.

Actually it's really nice.  It's right by the river and very open so you see a lot of sky.  Plenty of good food and not really a bad seat in the house.

Well, it's certainly as vast improvement over Riverfront.
That place really was a complete shithole.

I don't really remember.  I only went once when I was a teenager with my summer league baseball team.  Chewed Red Man for the first time sitting in the sun in left field and got sick lol.

It's not as though the stadium or arena were places I frequented, but I dare say part of the reason was because they were such complete shitholes.  I have heard the new ball park is a vast, vast improvement over the old one.  In fact, I've heard from several people, not even comparatively speaking, it's pretty nice, which is tough to comprehend, but I believe them.

Of course, I can't be entirely objective, but beyond the ball park itself being really nice in SF, the view is damn near incomparable.  You have the whole bay, the San Francisco skyline, and the Bay Bridge is right there.

That whole generation of stadiums that cropped up around 1970 was ill-advised.  Riverfront, Three Rivers, the Astrodome, Kingdome, Skydome, etc.  Look how many of them are already gone..the multi-purpose design was never a good idea.  One that's still there, Oakland, is widely considered the worst park in baseball.

To me though, while not asthetically pleasing, Three Rivers had some real charm and great memories.  ;)
