It's been in the 80s here, and kinda muggy.  I try keep it set so it doesn't run unless it gets that warm, but it stayed on until it went to 74, so I bumped it up a little.  Hit my target.  It just turned 80 and it just turned on.

Nice. I got snowed on again today. facepalm

Little late I know.
I post for food or money...thank you

If the battery is good and the connections are clean, trust me, it's the starter.

Haven't jacked it up yet, But I can't even see the damn starter. Flashlight from the top, on the ground, both sides.

I don't remember saying all that. But I hear you on the starter. Where is that confounded bridge?

You'll never find it, and if you do it will be inaccessible.  Just pay a mechanic his $200 and be done with it.

Are you kidding?  Do you know how much crack you can get for $200.

Don't know, don't care.

All I know is that no matter how simple the problem is, it will cost you $200.

If you try to do it yourself it'll cost you more than than that to figure out that everything you tried was a waste of time and effort.

Then you get to pay $400 for the mechanic to fix your F*** ups.

Trust me.  I know what I'm talking about.  I made a bunch of money fixing DIY projects gone bad.

Trying to figure out why this Altima will not crank. There seems to be enough battery. Clutch seems fine when you are driving, I guess. It's always been a little weak. Starter doesn't even engage but in the course of jumping it off. It randomly got a crank and started immediately and I ran it for 30-45 minutes to the wine store and grabbed a 32 oz. can for the $1.79. Left it running the entire time. Pulled in the driveway. Turned it off. Tried to crank it. Nothing. Did notice the positive battery cable clamp was loose and tightened the nut. Has to be a loose or disconnected wire? Right?
I dont know about Altimas much, but i had a pick up that had a similar issue. It sounds like a solenoid, but those are probably built into the starter. Cables all clean and no corrosion? You said if you jump it, it starts? Thats sounds like battery or connection. Ignition all good?

I had some jackass call me from an inspection i did 6 months ago. He told me he had to have his toilet rebuilt and wanted to know why i didnt tell him something was wrong with the toilet. I told him i dont have a crystal ball, and the toilet was fine when i was there 6 months ago.

No, he said it might randomly start if he jumped it.

My daughter has an old Maxima.  Same problem.  Spent hundreds of bucks on shade trees before she finally found a real mechanic who changed out the starter.

Fixed.

Trust me, it's always the starter.

How do you rebuild a toilet?

All it is is two tanks and simple plumbing.

If it leaks, fix the leaks.  If the flusher goes out, replace the flusher.

If the seat breaks, buy a new one or learn how to hover.

You know, the little 20 dollar kits that have the fill valve, and plunger valve for flushing. He was a F***ing idiot. I told him," So you thought i was from the home warranty company?" he said "No". "Well, did you call the home warranty company?", he said "no". "So what do you want me to do?" "pay for the repairs." I sad "Not only no, but if you would have read you contract it states that i dont give you warranties, i tell whats you what working when i"m there. Things break, its call home maintenance."
He goes to tell me that the guy that came out charged him 175 bucks to replace all the parts. I told him he got ripped off and its not my fault for that either. He said he was going to report me to the real estate division, and the better business bureau. I told him i will send them a copy of the contract the he signed and I'm sure they know how to read.
