I hope SG stops by because he said something that disturbed me last nite. 9er and I were talking about our technical careers and he replied that he was a lowly insurance guy. I'm here to say you're wrong SG you are a champion. In my opinion the best a man can be is a great husband, a great father and a good friend. SG is all of these things and never needs to appologise to anyone. Where he works is irrelevent.

End of mini rant ;)

Before I finish my back read, just know it was self deprecating humor about how boring most people view insurance.

I actually get to work on a lot of cool stuff like event cancellation insurance for most of the D1 football and basketball conferences, insurance for NASCAR teams, along with companies that make things for our military like submarine survival suits, missile guidance systems technology providers and cool stuff that makes planes safe to fly.  I am a specialist in "tough to place" property and casualty coverages for multi-national businesses and am recognized as such throughout the company I work for.

All that said...it's just insurance to a buyer.    facepalm

SG I posted that because I consider you my friend. You are a person I would love as a neighbor and if I offended you I'm sorry.

You absolutely did not offend me.  I'm too thick skinned to get upset amongst friends on a meassageboard.  Plus, I'm not sure anyone outside of WT knew what I really did for a living.  He gets it because he is a commercial insurance consumer and a big sports fan.

I'm doing my best. I'm pathetic compared to everyone here and I know it. I try to be fun but this garage is ..... a garage and cold air is approaching. I keep waiting and ..................nothing. They want to medicate me for depression but frustration they ignore

I only know one medication for frustration...and it's over the counter...away for the pharmacy.

You are a victim of a bad accident (and crime) one day you will recover from.  We are all at our best when we just be who we are.

It rained here from about 4 yesterday until an hour or so ago.  Chilly weather for September the next few days, too.  The high on Friday is barely going to crack 50.  That ain't right for this time of year.

Kentucky.  Shouldn't be all that tough, but you never know.  Then it's Alabama.

I'm sure everyone will be cheering for Florida next week. I will be.

It wasn't all that long ago that Florida was one of the most hated teams in the country.  Amazing what a shitty season will do.

Morning all!! Hope everyone has a great day today!!

Supposed to be in the 90's today, but cools down to 65 at night. We had a couple of thunderstorms Sunday and Monday. Hopefully there's a lot more of that to come.

I am not all that excited about this weekend's slate of games.  Iowa-Iowa State has local interest, but I'm fairly certain most of you guys don't care much about it.  South Carolina - Georgia is the only top 25 matchup.  Given what I've seen from the Gamecocks, that might be stretching the definition a bit.

I like good OOC matchups, but the full up conference schedules can't come around fast enough.

There are some big name matchups, but one team or the other (or both) are underperforming, so the matchup loses some of its shine.  UCLA - Texas is a good example.  Purdue - Notre Dame is another.

Yeah, not the greatest slate of games this weekend, but I'll be watching. I'll likely check out Iowa/Iowa St. because it's a rivalry game. There are some games that would normally be considered good to great matchups, don't look to be as good. Example, UCLA/Texas would normally be a much anticipated game, but with the curbstomping that BYU put on the Longhorns, it has lost much of it's excitement.

Yeah, I saw that. According to a friend that lives there, it seems to happen about once a year or so. They don't get a lot of rain in Vegas, but when they do, they get it all at once.

The rain was nice, not as much as I had hoped, but I'm not gonna complain. I'm hoping that this fall and winter will have lots of rain. Awhile back, I heard there was an El Nino that I think is supposed to hit this fall and/or winter that is supposed bring lots of rain. Could have been next year though.

...and whats the deal with that idiot Finebaum, he acts like Alabama is the only team in the SEC...Oh,wait!  Every blue moon he makes a negitive Auburn comment, lets be fair now!
