2012 offseason?
« on: December 18, 2012, 07:59:19 AM »
who has had the best off-season so far in baseball?

la angels
toronto

or someone else?

i think boston went backwards. they clear up all this money with getting rid of beckett, crawford and gonzalez and then add dempster, drew, victorino and napoli. not sure if that was a smart move.

Agree, Catfish, on your Boston take... Not sure they have a real direction right now.. and the trade for Hanrahan was odd..

He has been great for the Pirates.. but that is Pittsburgh and this will be Boston. We'll see. He may be lights out. I do know that Andrew Bailey, when healthy, is a legit Big League closer. Can he set up? We'll see. Some of these closers can't adjust to a set up roll.

Maybe I'm biased being an A's fan, but Bailey was never given a legit shot to close in Boston.

Angels are the big winner, IMO, if Hamilton can stay focused... Trout, Josh and Pujols is quite the lethal trio...

Blue Jays... not sure... The Marlins sucked with these guys last year and health is always and issue with Reyes.. We'll see.
