Did you guys see Bourdais hit the wall at Indy ?? That was nasty. But look at it again in slow motion. Watch the safer barrier take the shot. It moved a good 5-6 inches. Twenty years ago,,, he's dead. No doubt, it saved his life.

YEAH, nasty hit, you are right though, without the safe barrier and the Hans device he is no longer breathing here....

The one thing about these barriers that I never realized. The whole wall collapses in. You can see it go back 10-15 feet on either side of the impact area.

Not sure how much racing I'll watch this weekend, but Indy 500 and Coca Cola 600 are classics. Thank you to all those that Gave All on this Memorial Day Weekend.

Yep....  I taped it... Glad I did, watched it in 30 minutes....   No talent wins again this year, this is getting old.
There are race car drivers, ............ And then there are plate racers, and the gap is huge...   Spikes.

I'm beginning to think the same thing. We already have 2 or 3 guys in the Chase that shouldn't be there. And we are only half way thru the season !!!

Exactly SoCal. Look at the better drivers without a win that may get shunned because this one driver got a single victory but usually finishes no better than 15th all season long. They call that a champion caliber driver?     facepalm

Best quote I have seen in a long time... The truth will set Nascar free one day....    Excellent my friend. Spikes.

on a related note....who would have thought after last year that JGR wouldn't have a win to this point in the season, plate track or otherwise?  (yes, I realize FRR might as well be JGR, but you know what i mean)

Saw that Kenseth doesn't think he'll back at JGR next year......do they swap Jones and Kenseth, or does FRR go another route to replace the young gun? because all the media heads are already giving the 20 to Jones next year

Yeah Bear, evidently Matt will be out of JGR. Will he be pushed out of cup like the Biff? I'm surprised myself. Matt has 2 or 3 good years in him yet IMO. I hope he goes to SHR myself. Geesh, I hope I don't have to look for a new driver next season already!
Matt will bust his tail off to win the rest of the season.

I think if anything he and Jones might swap seats....i mean, at this point, who else is FRR going to put into that car that can get results?

 FYI

I dumped Direct TV a couple of years ago because I got tired of all their crap. So, as a result, I don't get to see many races. At the beginning of the season, there was a guy on You Tube streaming them live. But, after a couple of weeks, he stopped. I guess Nascar or Fox ASKED him to do so.

But, I found another guy that is doing it. He calls himself "The Canadian Streamer". It's the Canada feed. Different announcers, commercials, everything. I kinda like it. It doesn't have the hype, smoke and mirrors that Fox does. And not the constant referances to Dale Jr. that NBC loves to do. It's on U Tube. Check it out.

And my big screen TV talks to my computer. BOOM. Just like cable. Damn good picture too !!!!
