Since the Champions League knockout stage is about to start, I decided it was important that a thread was started where all of us can describe the breathtaking, and exciting action of soccer in the biggest tournament in the world.

EDIT: I just realized I messed up the spelling of my scree name. Should do less  joecool

Games yesterday sucked, but the Man U vs Real Madrid game should be epic.

I know you guys have been anxiously waiting for my predictions so here they are for today:

Real Madrid 2-0-Man U's midfield gets completely overrun by Real Madrid, and the Chosen One.

Shaktar-Borussia 1-1-Borussia is one of the more underrated teams in the world, and Shaktar is pretty good as well. It's in Ukraine so I think Shaktar probably outplays Borussia and only gets a draw.

My son-in-law is a Motherwell fan.  Are they in this hunt?

No, they qualified for the Champions League, but they've already been eliminated.

Wow, entertaining first half between Real Madrid and Man U. I still like Madrid to score in the 2nd half, and win the 1st leg.

Group D is the toughest group. I like Porto overtaking PSG, I like Arsenal taking over Shalke and Milan over Malaga inthe first three. I'll stay with Dortmund, Juventus and Bayern in the next 3 and in the final 2 barcelona and Man U. Next week I like Arsenal to upset Bayern even though it's a home game  and Porto over Malaga, I also Like MILAN at home over barcelona, all three wins, no draws. Shalke and Milan have 2 away wins, something to think about..I'm going with Juventus against Bayern in the final

I'm pretty sure that Munich and Juventus can only play in the Semis, but I might be wrong.

BB, you may be right about that but those are the 2 teams I picked ( in our local pizza shop league ) when this started, so I'll stay with that until I'm sure here. I picked Juventus. I can see all 3 of us picked Juventus at some level. I suggest the av bet is on the other 3 teams, Zazz with Real, you with Barca and me with Bayern. The one who goes furthest wins, the other 2 sport new av's. Sound reasonable?

By the way TOLUCA!!! Copa Libertadores. They beat Boca juniors, amazing

Pretty sure your correct.

Fish....I think I will take Juventus, but that is because I also picked Real Madrid.  As you know, they have a tough road ahead starting in Manchester.
