Well I was wrong on that call.  Wasn't the first time, sure won't be the last!

I didn't want to say it, but I had a feeling...

Giants are hot.

Damnit.

That's it.
I don't like either of you anymore. stomp1
Sincerest apologies. I was convinced, prior to last night's game, that KC was a Team of Destiny.

I still think they might win in 6. SF looked pretty darn good though.

Did anyone notice the guy behind home plate with his visor on sideways and wearing a Marlins jersey?

No need for apologies (and I hope you saw where I said I still love y'all).
There are still lots of games to play, but  like I said on another thread, I thought it really important for the Giants to, if they could, take the first game.  The aura of invincibility that had grown up around the Royals in the post-season needed to be broken.

If nothing else, this makes for a more exciting series. I'd rather see 6 or 7 games anyway.

Heard something interesting on a podcast this morning, that the Giants have quietly been a dynasty in this decade, and have done so without nearly the level of obvious talent that past dynasties have had. Because of that, I'm inclined to root for them to win, just to force that conversation in baseball history.

The ratings have been low thus far.

I guess this just isn't a sexy matchup for the majority of Baseball fans???

Go Royals!!!

If these playoffs haven't been exciting enough, and you don't consider the Royals compelling enough to watch, then I'm not sure you're a baseball fan. A shame, because a lot of these people who would only watch if the Yankees or Red Sox were involved are missing some really exciting baseball.

Amen! In my humble opinion, most Yank/Sox fans are just that and not baseball fans.

Yeah, I'd think anyone who is a fan of the game would want to watch it...
And, no, not because of the Giants, but because it's so awesome the Royals are in the World Series.

It's been a great post season, one of the most exciting to watch and if hasn't fired you up , you're not a fan.

Looking forward to game 3 tonight. I'll be happy with either team winning it all, but I'm hoping it goes 7 games no matter what.
