Yeah, down by the river
Down by the banks of the river Charles (aw, that's what's happenin' baby)
That's where you'll find me
Along with lovers, fuggers, and thieves (aw, but they're cool people)

MJ,
Just wanted to share with you that my wife and I saw Bob Dylan in concert Friday night in Akron.
Awesome as usual.
I'm really glad that I love his latest album - Tempest - because he played at least 5 tunes from that one.
But the highlight for me was getting to hear my favorite Dylan tune - Tangled Up In Blue - as only Bobby can do it!

Most excellent  Rhino.  It's been too long since I've seen Dylan, he hasn't been to GA in a while.  Did he do the alternate version of Tangled Up In Blue that he sings in the 3rd person?

Yes, he did!
I'm guessing you must be familiar with this version but for me, it was a first!
It was only the 3rd time I had ever seen him live and it was a lot of fun.
And I was very surprised to see quite a few younger people there!

It's just no good anymore since she went away
Now I spend my time just making rhymes of yesterday

First love I had was seventeen, and I was younger,
Love to us was some kind of game.
In all my letters, said I never would forget her - now,
 I can't recall her name.

So this ain’t the end -
I saw you again today
I had to turn my heart away
Smiled like the sun -
Kisses for real
And tales - it never fails!

I told her that I came from Detroit City
And I played guitar in a long-haired rock 'n' roll band.
She asked me why the singer's name was Alice;
I said, listen baby, you really wouldn't understand.

Look about and tell me what you see
Noise and dirt and plastic people
'Cause love is clean and ours has been a bluer shade of jade there than that's provided
Take me on a ride girl!
Right there by my side, Lord!
