Good luck to Pitt.  Both SU and Pitt will have their hands full this coming season.

I'm glad SU decided to transfer with Pitt.
Of all the other big east teams ... I like the orange the best.

Go Cuse!

Go ACC!

Hadn't looked at the schedule yet, let me digest that before I make an assessment.

Morning Khep......I'm heading out to the spring game.  Kick off is at noon.  Taking the wife and grand kid. the GK turned 3 this year.  Not sure how he'll do, but now's as good as a time to get him started on football up close and personal.

Let me know how they look Jonvi. Very interested in what is going to shake out at QB. Hawgwildbomber has me fired up about Funderbrook (sp?).

A lot of their success will be tied to how the O & D lines perform, hope they got some big boys.

I'm in.  In fact, I may be the only one on this board actually born ON the campus.  I was too poor to go to school there though.

I didn't attend SU, went RIT. Cuse is the only real School in D1 in the Upstate. RIT has gone D1 in Mens and Womens Hockey. The Men even went to the Frozen Four a few years back.

Good to see ya SG!

Back from the spring game.

QB...Terrel Hunt is head and shoulders above anyone else.  IMO he looked as good as Nassib, but the QB's had the no hitting jersey on.  Nassib was as tough as nails.  Hunt had a couple of nice passes for good yardage.  For a kid that has a reputation to run first, he looked very good in the pocket and used his wheels only to get away from the rush or on planned roll outs.  But he has a habit of looking down his receiver.

Charlie Loeb didn't look comfortable at all.  He was not in sync with his receivers.  He had one scramble I liked.  I didn't know he had wheels.

John Kinder actually looked better than Loeb at times, but neither looked as good as T Hunt.

The running game is going to be awesome.  AAM and Smith got the majority of the carries and both bruised for good yards.  But the player today was George Morris III.  Wasn't as strong as Smith and Moore, but he has a gear...once he gets past the line, he is so fast.  PTG and Broylds both did not suit up due to injury.  SU has 5 backs that can play.  The OLines were making holes.

There is some girth on the line this year.  Joe Nassib (Ryan's brother) was in on a bunch of tackles. They looked good...but the D got lot of penalties that kept the offense rolling.

WR's didn't see a lot of action other than mainly quick routes.  Hunt threw a couple of long ones, but Funderburke wasn't on Hunt's team so I don't think he caught a pass thrown by Kinder or Loeb.  WR' that shined was Kobena an Jarrod West.  Chris Clark caught a lot of passes.  Beckett Wales is a beast at TE.  He got open a bunch and is a handful to bring down.

SU still needs a punter.  Fisher had one nice punt, the rest were par to poor.  A good punter is so important.  Krautman had a decent day kicking field goals, but did shank one from about 30.

I chatted with Wayne Morgan and Femi Allyu mothers for a while.  Both are from the NYC area and very proud SU parents.

I can almost hear the violins playing Gnat.  :-)  Tell your dad I think SU looks good.  They should hold their own in the ACC.

Thanks for the update. I like hearing that they have RBs. Take some pressure of whomever gets the nod at QB until they get comfortable.

I think you're gonna like Hunt.  I know I did.  Just a couple of minutes ago, I read a news release on today's game and it quoted Coach Shafer has saying the QB race is tight.  It didn't look tight to me.  The article also had Hunt with over 200 in the air, Kinder over 40 and Loeb for less than 10 yards.

I think that means he was planning on one kid and now might be changing his mind.

Does the o-line have some beef?

Jonvi, you still using cBS "discussions" for Cuse stuff?

If you do, try to get Malibu, CuseWarEagle, hell even MikeSyr18 over here.

Big12KO, FatKidFrank, Saraqs, Giantants, Copp, NYSY,...ect, ect.

Won't see those folks if Cuse FB doesn't get in the top 25, or atleast play a t25, and catch them on the gametracker. We can make a Cuse board over here.

Nah....I haven't posted there since the first day they dropped the boards.  It will take us getting on a SU gametracker to get most of those you wrote about.  They didn't do a lot of posting on the boards.
