FWIW - Pre Season Top 25
« on: April 21, 2013, 02:43:41 PM »
I tend to think pre-season rankings are a joke, but the off-season is long and painful, so they at least give folks something to talk/argue about.  These were taken from USA Today.  I like their inclusion of the previous season's record, and how they did in the tourney (although seeing #1 next to first round NIT loss seems a bit strange).  I edited out the commentary that went with each team, but if you'd like to read it...

UNC is number 3 ONLY if we land Wiggins.  Should Wiggins end up somewhere else, I think we drop out of the top 10.

Thanks for posting Cali.

Hey, Gnat!

Speaking of Wiggins, check out the video I posted over on the Wiggins thread.

I don't know what they're thinking putting UK at #1.
If the incoming talent pans out, the returning guys from last year continue to improve,
And they can get some chemistry going...sure.
After last season, though, I'd think a higher degree of skepticism would be at play.
