2013 Schedule looks favorable for Michigan to have a great season, and perhaps a BCS bowl berth.

8/31   vs centralmichigan1
9/7     vs notredame1
9/14   vs akron1
9/21   @ connecticut1
9/28   OPEN
10/5   vs minnesota1
10/12 @ pennstate1
10/19 vs indiana1
10/26 OPEN
11/2   @ michiganstate1
11/9   vs nebraska1
11/16 @ northwestern1
11/12 @ iowa1
11/30 vs ohiostate1

Trips to Happy Valley, East Lansing, and back to back visits to Evanston and Kinnick could shake things up for us. I'm thinking 9-3 or 10-2 by the end of the season will be about right for Michigan.

The best news is that we get Notre Dame, Nebraska, and Oh St at home.

Hey, Fire, Michigan's schedule is definitely loaded the last weeks of the season.  That's a little scary.  But, I think our guys will be up for it, especially if they beat Notre Dame early.  Nothing would make me happier (except wins over MSU and OSU, of course).  This team is packed with potential just waiting to be realized.  Devin Gardner sure seems confident.

Hey UMGF. I think he has reason to be confident. He did really well with limited time at QB. He has an entire off-season to get used to the position again. I think he's going to have a great year. I just hope he says healthy and I hope he comes back for his Sr season.

LOL.  The 4th & 3 call in the OSU game was shocking to me.

Welcome Zimmy. The first half of that game was pretty entertaining to watch. The second half, however, was pretty damn boring. Here's hoping for a legendary game this year.

I loathed that hire of Boringes from the instant it was announced.

Stocked about Gardener having full time reigns of the offense.

Thought I would share this with everyone.
The University of Michigan announced the ticket sales dates Thursday for 2013 football season. Back again this season are the popular multiple game packs.  Fans looking for a three-game package will be able to choose a trio of the following options: the Nebraska (Nov. 9) OR Ohio State (Nov. 30) game, plus the Minnesota (Oct. 5) OR Indiana (Oct. 19) games, and finally Central Michigan (Aug. 31) OR Akron (Sept. 14) games. The three-game packs come at a cost of $245 plus a $30 order charge. There is a limit of six packages per fan.

Then there is the Coke Zero Football Family Pack, which offer tickets to either the Central Michigan game (Aug. 31) or the Akron game (Sept. 14). The pack includes four (4) tickets, four T-shirts from the M Den, four fountain drinks, four hot dogs, and two game programs for $300.

Our fans reacted very positively to the launch of these family packs last season, and we are happy to bring them back with a second game, as well as a sponsor in Coke Zero," said Hunter Lochmann, chief marketing officer for Michigan Athletics. "We want to continue to make Michigan Stadium an affordable day out for families and the next generation of Michigan fans."

The major addition to the ticket landscape is dynamic pricing for single game tickets.  Per Michigan’s athletic site, dynamic pricing is described as follows:

By using advanced computer programming, dynamic pricing makes adjustments based on factors such as team performance, visiting team's performance, weather forecast and remaining ticket inventory in specific seating locations.

Dynamically priced single-game tickets will never move below season ticket prices ($65) and generally increase over time as inventory decreases. Fans that purchase tickets early are more likely to get the best pricing.

"Dynamic pricing is a practice that has become standard across the sports and entertainment industry after gaining acceptance through airlines and hotels," said Lochmann. "Pricing dynamically will allow us to adjust single-game ticket prices upward or downward based on real-time market conditions with the biggest factor being fan demand."

Donors to Michigan Athletics and football season-ticket holders will will be able to purchase the ticket packs on Tuesday, July 16 and will be able to purchase single game tickets for all seven home games on Tuesday, July 30.  The Michigan football digital community (Facebook, Twitter, Michigan Insider and Mobile) will be able to purchase the ticket packs on Wednesday, July 17 and single game tickets on Wednesday, July 31. The general public will have access to the remaining ticket packs on Thursday, July 18 and single game dynamically priced tickets beginning Thursday, Aug 1.

I'm not a huge fan of dynamic pricing as a whole, because it usually means the end user is getting screwed somewhere (airline/hotel). That being said, for entertainment venues, it is a little different. There are so many ways that people take advantage of the system. They can go and buy all the tickets they can afford and then sell the tickets on any of a dozen or so sites to make a killing. Why not let the university make that extra money and use the profit to keep other costs down (optimistically, of course)? Guess I'm just torn on the issue as a whole.

Do you have to be a booster, alumni, or student to get that price?  I was trying to get tickets to the OSU-Mich game in Columbus in 2007 (I think) & it was looking like it would be $1000 a seat for bad seats.

Not a whole lot going on for UM as of late. Could be as late as December until Hand makes his decision. Hoping it's maize n blue that draws him in.

While I'm not a Borges fan, we should at least let him use players that work in his system for a year or two to see if we need a change. I'm fine with run first pro style, as long as there is some creativity in there to keep defenses honest.

Wisconsin didn't beat TCU or Oregon for a reason.

The TCU offense is what I want. They could have lit up anyone, and then when it mattered they could make a drive for 8 minutes and screw the opponent.

I would like to see our offense set up like the '05 usc1 ... although having a Vince Young type QB is always a big help. After the last 4 years, though, I'll just take a QB that hit his target.

So I was looking at Michigan's class this year. There are more 5 star recruits in this one class than Idiot Rod had in his three years of failure.

Now if only a certain moron of a coach can learn how to call plays.......

I understand the nature of responsibility and all that, but I still give Borgess a pass.   He really was hamstrung, especially those last five games.  All he had was Gardner and a broke DRob.   Worse than what we saw in the OSU game would have been had all we had was DRob because Gardner got injured.

Could Al have mixed it up more than he did?  Yes

If this season is a repeat of the OSU game, then I'm not so sure he is the right OC going forward.

Glad to see some of the old CBS posters here.

Good to see you here Chief. Michigan has the schedule this year to do well but I'm not sure the talent is quite there yet. They have ND, Neb, and OSU all at home.  Toughest road games are PSU, Sparty and Northwestern. Hopefully we can attract a few more folks here to remind how wrong I can be.
